Volunteers Needed....Open Board Positions!

This Riptide community is so amazing! Thank you all for a great spring season! Thanks in particular to the wonderful coaches who gave their time and energy to make the season possible. 

So what's next?

Riptide Board position openings:  

This organization would not be possible without our volunteer Board members. We have a number of people who are rolling off the board this year and next year and need some parents of younger Riptide players to step in.  We need at least 2 new Board members starting in August and there are multiple roles new members could take. Please reach out to me at cindy.taylor67@gmail.com if you're interested and I'll share more details.

Club lacrosse tryouts:

There are a number of club lacrosse teams in NH and many are holding tryouts this summer for their fall, spring, and/or summer leagues. If interested, here are some options:

4 Leaf

4 Leaf New England is excited to host Tryouts for our travel teams for the 2024.2025 season for Boys and Girls in rising 2nd – 12th grade.

We offer an OPEN Round of tryouts for all players, New or Returning, to participate within their REGION. We will offer regional tryouts in Portland ME, Burlington VT, Dover NH, and Hooksett NH. Players are allowed to attend more than one location of the open tryouts if they wish to be evaluated more than once.

We will then host a CALL BACK tryout for all players selected from the regional open round. Call Backs will be held in Hooksett NH. We need to host call backs at one location so we can have all invited players from all regions compete against each other. This is the only way we can properly and fairly evaluate all players.

Riptide 2025 Spring Season:

We will send a note in the fall with details about registration for the 2025 spring season. We look forward to seeing you all back for another great season!

2024 Season Schedule

Season Schedule Overview:

Indoor practices beginning the week of March 11 through March 24. Coaches will be in touch with specific dates, times and locations.

Outdoor practices will begin in late March. Coaches will be in touch with specific dates, times and locations.

Games begin: April 6 & 7

  • U8 & U10 teams play on Saturdays 
  • U12 & U14 teams play on Sundays
  • Game schedules will come out at the beginning of April. Coaches will communicate game schedules as soon as we know them--please be patient as we have to wait for the schedules from our leagues who are juggling many, many teams!

Game weekends are:

April 6/7, 13/14, 20/21, 27/28; May 4/5, 11/12, 18/19; June 1/2. No games Memorial Day weekend.

For the U12 & U14 teams, the end of season festival is Jun 8 & 9.

Charlie Rizzo


Coach Charlie

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Charlie Rizzo, a dear friend and long-time coach for Hampton Riptide lacrosse. Charlie's true joy was as a proud father to his children Dominic (in his first year at Louisiana State University) and Arianna (8th grade in Hampton Falls). Charlie also had a passion for sports and he reveled in coaching his children in flag football, basketball, and most recently, lacrosse. He was a great coach and friend to our girls, cheering them on, encouraging them to work hard, play well, and never give up. He will be greatly missed by many, but most especially by his children. Please consider donating to his family as they try to navigate this new life without their father.
